For the 42nd time, Arab Health took place in Dubai at the end of January. LISAvienna was represented at the Expert's Corner of the WKO for the seventh time. Thirty-two Austrian exhibitors, including twelve Viennese companies, presented their products and services in the United Arab Emirates.
Over 4,000 exhibitors presented to 120,000 visitors from 160 countries at Arab Health. Significant successes were achieved especially by those companies that have been exhibiting for several years and have contacts that have been nurtured.
LISAvienna was the primary contact for questions about life sciences in the Vienna area and supported Viennese companies taking part in the convention with their tradeshow presentation along with details about current funding opportunities and networking with potential partners. Concurrently, Arab Health offered a first-class opportunity to analyze current industry trends – an important input for the further development of the services offered by LISAvienna. A visit to the lecture and networking event by the Austrian Business Council UEA was also on the agenda. Exhibiting companies had the opportunity to take part in discussions with representatives of the local health sectors about future developments.
Because of the continued growth of the tradeshow, the diagnostic portion of Arab Health had to be split off in 2017. The diagnostic companies presented their exhibitions at their own event, Arab MedLab, which took place one week after the start of Arab Health.
Take away: Due to the continued expansion of healthcare facilities in the Middle East and the continued development of medical tourism, this market and therefore this tradeshow continue to grow in importance. LISAvienna will once again be represented at Arab Health in 2018. Interested parties are invited to learn more about this event during a one-on-one discussion with Martin Mayer. Mark this date: January 29 through February 1, 2018
